Following the Music Weekly Artist Feature: Steven Labrie
Hello Everyone!
Baritone Steven LaBrie is an impressive opera singer, and we are truly excited to see him perform at our benefit concert on Saturday, October 26th. We are looking forward to all the singers! What a treat it will be.
“Steven La Brie, a native of Dallas, Texas, attracts attention for his beautiful timbre, expressive singing, and dramatic presence. Mr. Labrie was named among the five leading lyric baritones to watch by Opera News. Upcoming engagements include Escamillo in Carmen (MasterVoices at Jazz at Lincoln Center), Mr. Maguire in Emmeline by Tobias Picker (Tulsa Opera), and a return to CarnegieHall as the baritone solist in Carmina Burana and Belshazzar’s Feast (Cecilia Chorus of New York). Recent engagements included his role debut as Belcore in Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore (Opera Omaha); his company and role debuts in Heggie’s Three Decembers (San Diego Opera) as as Valdeburgo in Bellini’s La Straniera (Teatreo Nuovo). In pase seasons, he appeared with Sarasota Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Hong Kong Opera, New Amsterdam Opera and Carnegie Hall.”
I am so honored to have such an amazing artist singing at our event. We can’t wait to see such a talented individual on October 26th. We hope you will join us there.
Blessings,
Susie and the HaitiChildren Family!
