As we approach a concert fundraiser on Saturday, October 26th, 2019. The team at HaitiChildren is truly enjoying working with composer Theodore Christman to organize this special event. In preparation I am here in Haiti this week, helping to arrange a visa for one of my boys to attend the fundraiser. An adult now at 21, I am so proud of Ronald, who has grown into a talented young pianist. It is thanks to the generous support of Mr. Christman of the Christman Opera Company and all our donors who provide our children with opportunity, that HaitiChildren will escort Ronald on a very exciting adventure to perform at the concert, to be held at the Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church in Manhattan.

My heart is filled with joy as we proceed with the details of this fundraiser. It is a predecessor to a musical that will chronicle HaitiChildren story. Mr. Christman is developing the musical along with playwright Donna Gay Anderson. There are so many other incredible artists the HaitiChildren team will introduce you to in the months to come, through our newsletter and weekly artist features on our blog.  I am so inspired by the talent of these artists, and so incredibly grateful to Mr. Christman for this honor. Mr. Christman has shared with us his excitement in joining the cause for HaitiChildren, and we are so grateful for all he is doing! Stay tuned this Friday for an article about Mr. Christman as this month’s newsletter Artist Feature.
